The study is all about the assessment of the diversity status of anurans in Mount Hamiuitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary, Kawa-kawa, Brgy. Maputi, San-Isidro, Davao Oriental, Philippines. Cruising method and visual encounter technique were employed in the three sites. The morphological and the call characteristics of the encountered anurans were recorded for their identification. Also, the microhabitats, conservational and ecological status of the species were presented. A total of ten species belonging to seven families of anurans were documented. Among the 10 species, only calls of four species were recorded. S1 had the highest species richness and moderate diversity while S2 and S3 have the lowest species richness and diversity. S. natator dominates the S1 and L. magnus dominates the S3. Only K. pleurostigma was captured in S2. Five species were riparian, only one species each was ground and arboreal, and two species have multiple microhabitat. On the other hand, three species were Mindanao endemics, three are Philippine endemic, three are Southeast Asian endemic and one species is Mindanao island endemic. This study also shows that 30% of the documented species are vulnerable, 50% least concern and 10% near threatened.
