About the Species:
Hologerrhum philippinum or the Philippine Stripe-lipped Snake is a species of snakes characterized by having long cylindrical body, a distinct head, a black-and-white collar, small eyes and round pupils, red to reddish-brown dorsum with alternating black spots, and a light pink under belly. This is endemic in the Philippines particularly in the islands of Luzon, Catanduanes, Marinduque and Pollilo. In MHRWS, this species is usually observed in the rocks near river and stream.
