Cyrtodactylus annulatus (Taylor, 1915)
Cyrtodactylus annulatus or the Annulated Bent-toed Gecko is a species of gecko characterized by having a head clearly differentiated from the neck, a short conical snout, two black lines running across its eyes, a visible tympanum, rough body scales, a brown dorsum with dark splotches and five thick digits on each forelimb and hindlimb. This is endemic in the Philippines particularly in the islands of Mindanao, Bohol, Camiguin, Leyte, Cebu, Negros, Palawan and several islands of central and western Philippines. This species is recorded from a wide variety of microhabitats including in the forest floor, under rotting logs, beneath barks, on the surface of stumps and living trees and in arboreal ferns at heights 25 to 50 feet. In MHRWS, this species is commonly observed in the rotting log and in the leaf litter in the forests floor.
