About the Species:
This Asian Vine Snake or the Gunther’s Whip Snake is a mildly venomous snake characterized by having a long, slender green body with a yellow stripe along its lower flanks. Its head is angular and elongated, with yellow eyes and vertical pupils. The ventral side is bright yellow-green. This is endemic in Southeast Asia particularly in Bangladesh, Brueni, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and in Philippines. In MHRWS, this species is usually observed on the tree branches.
